Site Council
The Buckman Site Council is a school leadership body legislated by Portland Public Schools. Elected representatives work with the principal to develop plans to improve instructional programs, provide for staff development and create a comprehensive school improvement plan.
This year's improvement priorities include strengthening Buckman's writing instruction and achievement while maintaining our strong reading and math efforts.

Buckman Elementary School offers a rich arts-integrated curriculum, and is open for admission through the district's transfer policy to all elementary students in Portland Public Schools.
